This book “The 4-Decade Blueprint: 24 Success Principles for
Ambitious Leaders” is written keeping in mind Leaders aspiring to take their
career to the next level by unlocking their hidden potential to realise their dreams. I have listed 24 principles that are the backbone of my successful career and business growth spanning over 4 decades. The insights presented here are the result of manifold efforts combined with large-scale interactions and life experiences.

What you here about me today is the tip of the iceberg. Let me explain few things which are beneath the iceberg.

Do you believe in the power of turning the impossible into reality? If not, let me introduce myself as a living example of the potential that resides within each one of us to achieve the extraordinary. My journey is a testament to the fact that with the right mindset and approach, we can overcome any obstacle and make the impossible to be possible.

During my school days, I experienced the extreme ends of the academic spectrum. In the 7th standard, I scored a disappointing 0 in Mathematics. However, that setback didn’t deter me from pursuing my passion for Mathematics. I transformed my weaknesses into strengths and eventually graduated in mathematics with first-class honours, even scoring an impressive 99% in some subjects. This just goes to show that failure does not define us, but rather, it presents an opportunity for growth and improvement.

My journey of professional success began in 1983 when I landed in Bangalore with nothing but a sack of household items, travelling on a plantain lorry for about 500+ km. I started my career as a “Part-time Typist” in 1984, a role that might seem obsolete today. Back then, it involved converting manuscripts provided by managers into neatly typed documents using a typewriter. However, my career graph took a soaring leap over the next 34+ years, culminating in my position as Vice President of one of India’s largest IT services companies. My journey from a typist to a high-ranking executive underlines the significance of embracing opportunities and continually learning and growing.

My idea is if I can do it, you can also do it. So, I introspected and identified the four pillars that were backbone to my success. Then in each pillar I provided six principles, you may find more as you move on, to start with these six principles is good enough for smooth take off. As in driving or piloting, you need to adjust depending on the real-life situation, in that process you will learn something more as well.
